Episode select screen in N.
The N games are made up of episodes, which are a series of five levels. The goal of each episode is to complete all its levels before a timer runs out.
When starting an episode, the player has 90 seconds on the timer, which can be extended by collecting gold. The amount of time the player has after finishing a level is carried over to the next level. When an episode is completed, the remaining time becomes the player's score for that episode (the more time, the better).
Episodes on the select screen are numbered and organized in a grid. The first row of episodes in every game are unlocked by default. The player progresses down the column, below a completed episode, until they reach the end, where they can start another column from the first row of episodes.
Completing an episode also unlocks the ability to play its levels individually for level highscores.
