Flavours (or commonly referred to as colours) change the appearance of the ninja by changing the ninja's colour. There are many flavours in N and each one is unlocked by completing a column of stages; colours are also available in N++ by holding shift on the in-game menu.
v1.4 Flavours[]
With no columns completed, the ninja is only available in black. In the order they are unlocked (from left to right), the flavours are:
Unlocking Flavours does not work by beating the column at hacked games, Being offline, Playing at practise mode nor can't get a flavour.
- Black (Default)
- Pink
- Olive Green
- Blue
- Violet
- Brown
- White (Overclock Mode also unlocked)
- Gold
- Gray (Tile Colour)
- Light Gray (Nearly Background Colour)
- Custom (RGB Palette)
Note: Although the light gray ninja is visible, it is very difficult to see it. During gameplay, it is only easily seen through the puffs of dust the light grey ninja kicks up.
v2.0 Flavours[]
In version 2.0, the flavour tradition was kept. You start with the black ninja as your default ninja, and, as N v2.0 offers 13 columns to complete, there are 13 additional flavours for a total of 14. All Arcade mode columns must have to be finished in order to get the custom flavour.
- Black (Default)
- Maroon
- Pink
- Purple
- Teal
- Olive Green
- Gold
- Dark Orange
- Wooden Brown
- White
- Gray
- Intermediate Gray (Tile Colour)
- Light Gray (Background Colour)
- Custom (RGB Palette, Hex Editor)
Note: Unlike on v1.4, light grey cannot be seen at all, as the flavour is truly the background color; therefore, seeing the puffs of dust and the interaction between different objects is the only clue to knowing the ninja's position. This could possibly be a challenge for players.
N+ Flavours[]

- green
- magenta
- gray
- orange
