N 1.4 (sometimes written as Nv1.4 or some variation thereof) was the last version utilising the original N physics, released on 15 May 2005.

N 1.4 includes several minor upgrades from v1.3, including Ned 1.1, the ability to play user levels in normal gameplay (as opposed to debug mode), flavours, a new secret, and 40 new episodes, 10 of which were created by users.

It is the predecessor to N 2.0, and version 1.4 is still played by many people to this day, with many players favouring the physics to that of its successors.
