N Art has become a craze and was once a nuisance for NUMA users. Arachnid implemented an N Art category earlier in NUMA's history, but it got removed. Quite a while later, people started asking for the N Art category to be reimplemented. So it was created once more.
An N Art is a map that shows a pattern, picture, design, or something of the sort. They are incredibly challenging to create, as Ned doesn't provide many helpful tools for making art with. Afterall, it wasn't really designed for art. But somehow, people manage to overcome this obstacle and create some fantastic works of art.
After a bit, some users started disliking the N Art. The reason was because it was flooding the "Top Rated" page of NUMA. All the real maps, as in the Action maps, Puzzle maps, etc. were all behind the N Arts, and therefore didn't get much attention. But eventually, other maps started going ahead of the N Arts, and users stopped complaining and whining.
The recently added "non-playable" sections in both "newest" and "top-rated" pages of Numa has also served to relegate N-art to a separate section, as they are no longer compared with "playable" maps.
N Art does not count towards a user's average rating.
